Three little pigs puppets that move, pose and play

Each character is cut in parts and joined with brads, so it rotates at the joints: the orange pig can stand, wave or take a step, and the same goes for his two brothers and the wolf. That makes the set a small puppet theatre for storytelling and story retelling, at home or with a class, and a quiet afternoon of cutting and colouring before the show.

The pigs and the wolf are not clip art. They were drawn and coloured by hand on paper and scanned, so the pencil hatching on the wolf and the hand-coloured spots and stripes on the pigs are still there in the colour version. The line art pages are the same drawings without colour, for children who want their own three little pigs puppets in their own colours. Both versions are included.

How to make it: print, cut, punch, assemble

• Print the three little pigs puppets at 100% (Actual Size), not Fit to Page, on A4 or US Letter paper. Print on one side of the paper.
• Cut out each piece along its outline.
• Punch the marked joint points with a small hole punch or an awl.
• Add mini brads at the joints, then play.

Only a tiny detail of the sheets is shown in the photos, so the full pages stay in your download.

• A small hole punch or an awl
