This doll tank top has navy blue and white horizontal stripes, a round neck and no sleeves: a classic striped shirt in 1:6 scale. It was handmade in our studio in Vilnius for 12 in male fashion dolls such as Ken®. It is a one-of-a-kind piece: there is only one, and it is ready to ship.

Which Ken® bodies it fits

Male fashion dolls are about half an inch taller than 11.5 in female dolls, with wider shoulders and a straighter torso, so the fit of a top depends on the shoulders and chest rather than the waist. This tank top was made for that 12 in male body, and in the photos it is worn by a jointed male doll. It can also be worn by 11.5 in female dolls.

Mattel has sold Ken® on several bodies over the years, and they are not all the same width. The broad and slim Ken® bodies have not been tested with this tank top. If your doll is from another maker, measure around the chest under the arms and across the back between the shoulder joints, then write to us and we will compare. To measure, take a strip of paper about 1 cm wide; it is easier to handle than a tape measure on such a small body. Wrap it snugly around the chest under the arms, mark where it overlaps, lay it flat and measure it with a ruler. Do the same across the back, from one shoulder joint to the other.

Summer and beach looks with a striped doll tank top

Navy and white stripes are the classic sailor look. With light blue trousers, as in the photos, the tank top makes a simple summer outfit; with shorts it works for beach scenes and holiday photos. Under an open shirt or a jacket it becomes a layer for cooler scenes. For cooler scenes there is also our grey doll long sleeve shirt. The trousers in the photos are not included.

Care

Gentle hand washing only. Doll clothes are small and delicate, so treat the doll tank top like fine lingerie. Keep the dressed doll away from heat and direct sunlight, and store the top flat or on a doll hanger between uses.
